Therapy is an investment of more than money. It asks for your time, energy, vulnerability, and willingness to look at things you may have spent a long time trying not to feel. I believe you deserve to know what that investment looks like before deciding whether Quiet Tide Therapy is the right fit for you.
Quiet Tide Therapy is intentionally a private-pay practice. Working outside of insurance allows us greater flexibility in how we structure your care. Rather than treatment being determined by a diagnosis, session limit, or traditional 50-minute model, we can decide together what makes the most sense for you. For some people, that's consistent weekly therapy. For others, it's longer sessions with more room to work.
And sometimes, a focused trauma intensive makes more sense than spreading the work across months of shorter appointments.
There isn't one "right" way to do therapy.
50-Minute Session — $200
Traditional individual therapy for trauma, anxiety, OCD, attachment concerns, relationship patterns, or ongoing support. Sessions may incorporate ART, ERP, ACT, CBT, attachment-focused interventions, somatic strategies, and other approaches based on your individual needs.
Extended 90-Minute Session — $275
For clients who want additional time to work without feeling rushed by the traditional therapy hour.
Extended sessions can be especially helpful when we're doing trauma processing, ART, exposure work, or exploring something that benefits from more time to settle in and intentionally close the session.
Sometimes you need more room. Trauma intensives provide dedicated time to focus on a particular experience, pattern, memory, or treatment goal without trying to fit meaningful work into a 50-minute window. An intensive isn't hours of nonstop trauma processing. The additional time gives us space to prepare, work, pause, regulate, take breaks, and thoughtfully close the session. Depending on your needs, intensives may incorporate Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), experiential trauma processing, attachment work, somatic strategies, and other trauma-informed approaches.
3-Hour Trauma Intensive — $600
Half-Day Intensive — $800
Full-Day / Multi-Day Intensive — Contact for availability
We'll determine together whether an intensive is clinically appropriate and which format makes the most sense for your goals.
You don't necessarily have to leave your current therapist to complete a trauma intensive or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). With your permission, Quiet Tide Therapy may be able to collaborate with your existing therapist so that an intensive complements the work you're already doing. You can then return to your regular therapist for continued support and integration. This can be especially helpful when you have a strong therapeutic relationship but want focused support around a particular traumatic experience or treatment goal.
Quiet Tide Therapy does not participate directly with insurance plans. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement through out-of-network mental health benefits. Upon request, I can provide a superbill containing the information typically needed to submit a claim to your insurance company. Reimbursement is determined entirely by your insurance plan and cannot be guaranteed.
If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, consider asking your insurance company:
Private pay isn't the right choice for everyone, and I believe it's important to be transparent about that.
For clients who choose Quiet Tide, private-pay care allows greater flexibility in how treatment is structured and may reduce the role insurance requirements play in the treatment process. That can mean choosing longer sessions when appropriate, incorporating intensive work, and making treatment decisions based primarily on your individual needs and clinical goals. My goal isn't to keep you in therapy indefinitely.
It's to use our time intentionally so that therapy eventually takes up less space in your life.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance are generally entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their care.
You'll receive information about anticipated fees before beginning treatment and can ask questions about costs at any point.
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Because longer sessions and intensives require a significant amount of dedicated time, cancellation policies may differ depending on the service scheduled.
Individual and extended sessions: 24 Hours
Trauma intensives: 72 Hours
Specific cancellation and rescheduling policies will be reviewed before treatment or an intensive is scheduled.
You don't need to decide whether you need traditional therapy, ART, an extended session, or a trauma intensive before contacting me. That's something we can figure out together. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you've already tried, what you're hoping will change, and what type of support may make the most sense.
Healing doesn't have to follow a predetermined timeline. Your care shouldn't either.
